The Village of New Athens welcomes you to a community with a friendly rural character, yet close enough to the Metro St. Louis region to feel the excitement of big city attractions. New Athens is located in southern St. Clair County, just 20 minutes from the county seat of Belleville and just 40 minutes from downtown St. Louis, Missouri.
